To update the library librtmp download the newest version by RedPenguin from https://www.mediafire.com/?x4cvp5hl4m9xr (right now is inside the folder 3-16-15-Fixes/RasPi).
The name of the downloaded file is librtmp.so.0, but has to replace the file /usr/lib/arm-linux-gnueabihf/librtmp.so.1.
Official support thread: http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=162307
More info: https://discourse.osmc.tv/t/replacing-librtmp-so-0-with-custom-version/2067
Alternative version by superceleron: http://bit.ly/SCLibrtmp (https://www.mediafire.com/folder/3623pdo81n353/lib)
Install and prepare folders and permissions:
sudo apt-get install transmission-daemon sudo systemctl stop transmission-daemon.service mkdir -p /home/osmc/torrents/downloads mkdir -p /home/osmc/torrents/temp mkdir -p /home/osmc/torrents/watch sudo chmod g+rwx /home/osmc/torrents/downloads sudo chmod g+rwx /home/osmc/torrents/temp sudo chmod g+rwx /home/osmc/torrents/watch sudo usermod -a -G osmc debian-transmission
Edit the settings file /etc/transmission-daemon/settings.json:
"rpc-whitelist-enabled": false, "rpc-username": "username", "rpc-password": "password", "download-dir": "/home/osmc/torrents/downloads", "incomplete-dir": "/home/osmc/torrents/temp", "incomplete-dir-enabled": true, "script-torrent-done-enabled": true, "script-torrent-done-filename": "/home/osmc/update-library.sh", "trash-original-torrent-files": true, "umask": 0, "watch-dir": "/home/osmc/torrents/watch", "watch-dir-enabled": true,
Create this script in /home/osmc/update-library.sh:
#!/bin/sh /usr/bin/curl --silent --data-binary '{ "jsonrpc": "2.0", "method": "VideoLibrary.Scan", "id": "mybash"}' -H 'content-type: application/json;' http://nova:abaixardeTOT@localhost:8081/jsonrpc > /dev/null
Start the daemon:
sudo systemctl start transmission-daemon.service
References:
sudo apt-get install rtorrent mkdir ~/.rtorrent.session
The configuration goes to ~/.rtorrent.rc:
# This is an example resource file for rTorrent. Copy to # ~/.rtorrent.rc and enable/modify the options as needed. To launch at startup, create the following file /etc/systemd/system/rtorrent.service:
[Unit] Description=rTorrent After=network.target [Service] User=osmc Type=forking KillMode=none ExecStart=/usr/bin/screen -d -m -fa -S rtorrent /usr/bin/rtorrent ExecStop=/usr/bin/killall -w -s 2 /usr/bin/rtorrent WorkingDirectory=/home/osmc [Install] WantedBy=multi-user.target
And enable at boot with:
sudo systemctl enable rtorrent
To compile from source:
sudo apt-get install rtorrent wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/rakshasa/rtorrent/master/doc/rtorrent.rc -O ~/.rtorrent.rc
sudo apt-get install automake build-essential libcppunit-dev libcurl3 libncurses5-dev libssl-dev libtool libxmlrpc-core-c3-dev pkg-config zlib1g-dev mkdir -p ~/local/ cd ~/local/ git clone https://github.com/rakshasa/libtorrent.git cd libtorrent git checkout 0.13.6 ./autogen.sh ./configure --prefix=$HOME/local --with-posix-fallocate make make install cd ~/local/ git clone https://github.com/rakshasa/rtorrent.git cd rtorrent git checkout 0.9.6 ./autogen.sh export PKG_CONFIG_PATH="$HOME/local/lib/pkgconfig" ./configure --prefix=$HOME/local --with-xmlrpc-c make make install
There seems to be a bug in OSMC where the external keyboard is always English and can't be changed.
Bug report: https://discourse.osmc.tv/t/bug-report-hardware-keyboard-layout-not-working/3507
Go to My OSMC → Pi Config and enable store_hdmi_to_file.
